Sponsor an Organization at Islam Expo SA 2009
Assalaamu ‘Aleikum / Good Day 21st April 2009
Islam Expo SA 2009: 11th – 14th June 2009 at CTICC, Hall 4A [10am-9pm]
All Praise is due to the Almighty Allah [SWT], our Creator and Sustainer.
The Discover Islam Exhibition 2006 was such a great success, Algamdulielah.
In 2006, the Muslim Students Association [MSA] successfully presented the Inaugural Discover Islam Exhibition. Itheko Events Management managed this ground breaking exhibition and will continue to do so again this year, Insha-Allah. This year the expo is called: Islam Expo SA 2009: ‘From Slavery to Citizenship’.
The marquee at the V & A Waterfront proved far too small for an exhibition of this nature and hence Islam Expo SA 2009 will be held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, Hall 4A, from the 11th – 14th June 2009. In 2006 our space was 750 m2, however this year it is 2 000 m2 and is fully air-conditioned. We expect an attendance of approximately 100 000 people or more for this year.
The Department of Arts and Culture is a partner to Islam Expo SA 2009.
The aim of Islam Expo SA 2009 is to invite tourists and the broader community to see what Islam and the Muslims are about. For this year the floor plan will change dramatically. There will be various areas, for e.g., historical, spiritual, cultural & arts, trade area, children’s corner, audio-visual, literature, lecture areas, Islamic finance, social welfare, community projects, Qura’nic recitations and demonstrations will also be included. Exhibition Islam UK, www.exhibitionislam.com and Iziko Museums CT, www.iziko.org.za will also be on exhibition.
The broad objectives of the Islam Expo SA 2009 are to:
create an understanding about the culture and traditions of Muslims and promote a spirit of religious and cultural tolerance;
create an awareness of the role played by Muslims in the history of South Africa via Iziko Museums CT;

Iziko Museums CT is an exhibitor and will showcase The Slave Trade, The Bo-Kaap Museum as well as the history and development of Timbuktu Manuscripts, as part of the Islam Expo SA 2009. In 2006 there were 47 cubicles and organisations had a free cubicle. However, this year there are 60 cubicles and you have the opportunity to sponsor an organisation at a subsidised cubicle fee of R9 500 incl. VAT:
The organisation to occupy a 3m x 3m cubicle, carpeted, 1 spotlight and 1 plug point.
Your business name will also be branded on the cubicle.
Your business flyers, brochures and pamphlets can be available at that cubicle
Your business to utilise this opportunity as a perfect branding exercise and also as a means of social responsibility.
